Meet Our Superintendent

Mrs. Amanda Redrow

I’m thrilled to introduce myself as the new Superintendent of the Port Republic School District. My passion for education began in childhood, playing school with my easel chalkboard, and that love for learning has guided me throughout my career.

I started my journey in education as a paraprofessional. This experience provided me with invaluable insight into student needs and classroom dynamics. I later served as both a special education teacher and an English teacher, where I deepened my commitment to inclusive education and academic excellence. For the past six and a half years, I’ve served as a Supervisor of Humanities, leading curriculum development, instructional strategies, and teacher support initiatives. My work in this role emphasized the importance of cross-disciplinary learning and equitable student outcomes.

Academically, I hold a Bachelor of Arts in English from Rutgers University-Camden. I pursued further education at Rowan University, completing the Post Baccalaureate Program to obtain a Teacher of Students with Disabilities certificate. My academic journey continued at Concordia University, where I earned a Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction. To deepen my leadership skills, I completed the School Leadership Program at Wilmington University. I am proud to hold a wide range of certifications, including K-5 Elementary, 5-8 Middle School with a Specialization in Language Arts, 9-12 English, Teacher of Students with Disabilities, Supervisor, Principal, and School Administrator. This comprehensive certification portfolio reflects my commitment to lifelong learning and a belief in the power of professional development.

At the heart of my educational philosophy is a student-first approach. I believe that every decision should center on what is best for students, fostering a supportive and inclusive environment for all learners. With a strong appreciation for tradition and a forward-thinking mindset, I’m dedicated to honoring the past while embracing innovation for the future.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending quality time with my family. Along with my husband, we are proud parents to two sons. You’re likely to find us at baseball tournaments or exploring new destinations. As a travel enthusiast and travel agent, I value the transformative power of new experiences.

As Superintendent of the Port Republic School District, I’m eager to collaborate with students, parents, educators, the Board of Education, and community stakeholders. I look forward to upholding the district’s values, supporting academic achievement, and ensuring that every student has the opportunity to thrive. I’m excited to be part of the Port Republic family and can’t wait to see what we can accomplish together.
